Congratulations to Maroa-Forsyth Middle and High Schools, Mt. Zion High School, and Warrensburg-Latham Elementary School for achieving Exemplary Designation on the 2024 Illinois School Report Card! To achieve Exemplary Status, schools must have the following:
- Overall performance in the top 10% of all schools
- No underperforming student groups at or below the "all students" group of the lowest-performing 5% of schools

Congratulations to Cerro Gordo High School teacher, Dr. Vicky Gilpin, on receiving Decatur Rotary 180's Educator of the Month award! Dr. Gilpin was nominated by her principal, Brandon Willard, who recognized her for taking on additional dual credit classes to provide students with more opportunities at earning college credits. She was also recognized for being instrumental in theatre productions, creating a wide variety of student clubs, and volunteering her time on the leadership team and committees. Congratulations again, Dr. Gilpin, and thank you for your deep commitment to education and student success!
