Congratulations to the Decatur Rotary Club's Educator of the Month, Pat Schroeder! Mrs. Schroeder was nominated by Dr. Jonathan Field, Principal of Sangamon Valley High School. Mrs. Schroeder marks her 50th year in the district and is still excited about coming to work each day. She teaches AP Physics and Chemistry, and students often return to say they used Mrs. Schroeder's notes to get them through their college classes. Her leadership, dedication, and relationships with students make her a model educator and an integral part of the Sangamon Valley team. Congratulations, Mrs. Schroeder, to 50 years and counting!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Engaging day at Letrs training 2 with area educators! We had rich conversations and deep learning. They are an amazing group!

Sunshine Supplies for Teachers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving our area schools in Macon and Piatt Counties. Co-Founders, Crystal Hoadley and Jill Kelm, shared their mission with us today of providing free resources for educators and their students. Through a minimal annual membership, educators will have access to FREE store supplies, such as basic classroom supplies, office supplies, storage, books, technology/STEM materials and much more! ROE #39 is proud to partner with Sunshine Supplies in supporting our schools! Follow them on Facebook at Sunshine Supplies for Teachers, NFP.

Today, we celebrate Barbara Preston's incredible journey as she retires after 20 years of dedicated service!
