Cerro-Gordo teachers and staff participated in A.L.I.C.E. active shooter training with Lt. Scheibly from the Macon County Sherrif's Office and Jill Reedy from the Regional Office of Education #39. Staff ran through scenarios to be better prepared to protect students in the event of an active shooter. This training was in preparation for the new school law enforcement drill requirement, which is in effect this school year. The law states that at least one law enforcement drill must be conducted on a day and time when students are normally present in the school building.
